Use of real property was intensified
HelenRealEstate administers 19 buildings in different parts of Helsinki. HelenRealEstate's rental income from real property in the operating year was EUR 11 million, approximately half of which came from external customers. The rest was internal rents from Helsingin Energia's other businesses.
An area of approx. 3,600 m2 in the Myllypuro material centre was let to the Premises Center of the City of Helsinki. The tenant started an impressive alteration of the premises in order to change the material centre into study premises for the Helsinki City college of Technology (Heltech Haaga).
In Helsingin Energia's Main Building, Sähkötalo, we created new premises for Customer Service and modernised the audiovisual equipment of the board meeting room and auditorium. In addition, HelenRealEstate took several minor-scale repair and maintenance measures in real properties in the operating year, and concluded several new rent contracts.
HelenRealEstate manages and develops Helsingin Energia's work depot, storage and office buildings for Helsingin Energia's own use, for external tenants and for use as employee residences. HelenRealEstate had 5 employees at the end of 2008.
