Mitox Oy
Turnover increased and the result was in line with the targets
Year 2008 complied with the company's long-term targets. The development of operating processes continued, and significant improvement was made in cost effectiveness.
Mitox Oy's turnover amounted to EUR 8.1 million, showing an increase on the previous year. The company's result developed according to plans.
The bulk of the company's turnover came from selling metering services to the Helen Group. Sales to energy companies and the real-estate sector increased from the previous year.
A project on remote reading of electricity meters in Helsinki city centre was launched. The project will be implemented in 2008-2010. Mitox Oy is responsible for its projecting, system introduction and a significant part of the installation of metering equipment, as well as for the operation of the reading system. Remote reading of district heat meters was expanded as planned and, as a result, all major district heat customers were connected to remote reading of meters by the end of the year.
The Melt service concept was developed in order to improve customer services in the monitoring of the progress of the remote reading projects and the utilisation of remote reading.
Mitox Oy invested in the marketing of its services by organising an Energy Metering Day and by boosting its sales operations aimed at energy companies. Lukema (Reading) magazine, aimed at the company's customers and interest groups, was published twice during the year under review.
Mitox Oy produces a wide range of energy metering services for companies operating in the energy and real-estate sectors. Mitox Oy provides the metering services required by Helsingin Energia and Helen Sähköverkko Oy. At the end of 2008, the company had 107 employees.
