Profitability of operations remained at a good level
The turnover of Suomen Energia-Urakointi Oy (SEU) amounted to EUR 40 million, with profit for the financial period of EUR 2.1 million. The equity ratio totalled 26%. The extent of operations was at the same level as in the previous year, and in line with expectations. Profitability, which remained at a good level, was boosted by the falling cost of materials and improved profitability towards the end of the year.
The company's operations consist of installation and design. The key proportion of the company's installation activities was still composed of the construction and maintenance of medium and low-voltage networks, traffic lights and lighting networks in the Helsinki region and in Lahti and its surroundings. It also carried out, e.g., transformer substation and switchgear installations in buildings. Design operations began at the beginning of 2008 with the design of outdoor lighting, acquired with a transfer of assets from Helsingin Energia. The focus of operations is in Uusimaa and Päijät-Häme, where SEU is the largest service provider.
The focus of operational development lies in constant improvement of cost effectiveness and quality control. Organisation of the use of human resources, fortifying the quality received by the customer, and improvement of occupational safety and health were given particular attention.
Suomen Energia-Urakointi Oy is a service company specialised in electronic urban technology, providing design, installation, operation and data transmission services in networks and equipment related to electricity transmission, distribution and use. Helsingin Energia owns 60% of the company. The other owners are Vantaa Energy Ltd and Lahti Energy Ltd.
