Helen Ltd starts

At the turn of the year, Helsingin Energia will become Helen Ltd, and it will also have a new corporate image. The company’s operations and services will continue as normal.

Helsingin Energia will become Helen Ltd on 1 January 2015. Helsingin Energia’s current business operations will move to Helen Ltd with the exception of outdoor lighting operations in Helsinki. The company will be fully owned by the City of Helsinki. The change follows the decision by the City of Helsinki to incorporate the Helsingin Energia concern as a new Company.

The corporate image will be updated along with the name change and incorporation. The company website will be revamped, and the messages and bills sent to customers will have a new look. The illuminated signs of the Salmisaari, Hanasaari and Vuosaari power plants and Sähkötalo will be replaced with new ones at the turn of the year.

- Helsingin Energia and the three lightnings in the company logo have a long and solid history. We wanted to maintain something of the old and modernise the lightnings. In future, the company logo will be seen in more versatile and maybe even unexpected ways, says Helsingin Energia’s Communications Manager Sanna Jääskeläinen.
