Solar heat in Sakarinmäki
The Sakarinmäki school is testing a new kind of heating solution utilising renewable energy. The school is heated mainly with geothermal and solar heat supplemented with a heating plant and heat storage.
Over 80% of the energy consumed by the school is now produced with renewable energy. Building the school’s energy system is part of more extensive testing of a new kind of energy system located in Östersundom.
