This annual report describes the year 2014, when Helsingin Energia was still the parent company of the Helen Group. The public was incorporated as a new company at the turn of the year, and it is now operating as a limited company, Helen Ltd.
The subsidiaries of Helen Ltd are Helen Sähköverkko Oy (100%), the hydropower company Oy Mankala Ab (100%), the Real Estate Company Oy Helsingin Energiatunnelit Oy (90%) and Suomen Energia-Urakointi Oy (60%). In addition, Helen Ltd has associated companies. We own power assets in various companies, both directly and through our subsidiary Oy Mankala Ab.
We sell electric energy to about 400,000 customers in Finland and our district heating network covers in excess of 90 per cent of Helsinki’s heating requirement. We also produce and sell district cooling, which is expanding rapidly in Helsinki.
