Charging electric vehicles
Finland’s first public street charging point for electric vehicles was opened in Runeberginkatu as early as in 2009. Since then, we have actively developed electric transport in the capital region.
EXTENSIVE CHARGING NETWORK
Helen’s public charging points are part of the Virtapiste network. The joint-use Virtapiste-network currently has 60 charging points throughout Finland. Liikennevirta Oy, which implements Virtapiste, provides the technology and the services related to joint use.
In Helsinki, public charging points have been built in different parts of the city, for example, in commuter car parks along the railway line.
The current number of Helen’s charging points is over 40, of which 38 are medium rapid charging points and 3 are rapid charging points. We continue to further develop and expand the public charging network.
BECOME A VIRTAPISTE CUSTOMER
You can start using Helen’s public charging points by registering in the Virtapiste service. The Virtapiste app can be downloaded free from app stores, after which you can register as a customer. From 10 March 2015, the Virtapiste charging services will be available for registered customers only.
GET YOUR OWN CHARGING UNIT
You can also acquire your own charging unit for your property. We sell charging units for households and properties.
