Helen has signed framework agreements with partners for technical support in the nuclear energy program
Helen Ltd has signed framework agreements with four partners for technical support in the nuclear energy program.
As part of the preparation for the evaluation and tendering of plant suppliers and technologies, Helen has signed framework agreements with providers of technical support services for the nuclear energy program. As a result of the public tendering process, Elomatic Consulting and Engineering Ltd, Fortum Power and Heat Ltd (Fortum Nuclear Services), Platom Ltd, and Rejlers Finland Ltd were selected as technical support partners.
- The framework agreements provide the nuclear energy program with the conditions to build long-term and reliable partnerships, while ensuring that we have flexible, diverse, and expert services available at all stages of the project. We are particularly pleased that we have high-quality and domestic partners at our disposal, which is a testament to Finnish expertise in the field of nuclear energy, says Janne Liuko, Director of Helen's nuclear energy program.
The goal of the nuclear energy program, which started in the fall of 2024, is to build a small nuclear power plant as part of Helen's energy system and to enable the company's combustion-free energy production in the 2030s. Currently, the program is in the preparation phase, during which the company is exploring alternative business models, mapping potential plant sites, and tendering possible plant suppliers.
