Changes in Helen Group’s Executive Management Team as of 1 July 2026
Helen is making changes to the structure and areas of responsibility of its Executive Management Team. The changes are intended to strengthen the role of the businesses in the Executive Management Team and clarify responsibilities.
Tuukka Hartikka has been appointed as the director responsible for Helen’s electricity production as of 10 August 2026. He will move to the role from his position as head of Helen’s hydrogen team and will report to Harri Mattila, member of the Executive Management Team responsible for Electricity Production and Energy Portfolio Management. In connection with the change, the hydrogen team will also become part of Electricity Production and Energy Portfolio Management.
- The strategic goal of the hydrogen business is to develop into part of renewable electricity storage as well as flexibility and optimisation, which is why it will in future be managed from within the Electricity Production business unit, says Helen Group’s CEO Olli Sirkka.
At the same time, New Businesses will become part of the Strategy and M&A function, which will continue to be led by Tuukka Toivonen. In addition, the Sustainability and Public Affairs function will become part of the Communications and Brand function. At the same time, the Communications and Brand function will be renamed Communications and Sustainability, and the new function will be led by Susan Patronen.
As part of the arrangements, Sari Mannonen, SVP of New Businesses and Hydrogen, has decided to leave the company.
- I would like to thank Sari for her long-term work in developing Helen’s business amid the major transformation of the energy sector. Under her leadership, the hydrogen business has been advanced in a determined manner, says Sirkka.
As part of the changes, Pekka Tolonen, CEO of Helen Nuclear Ltd, will also become a member of Helen Group’s Executive Management Team.
