District heating water is green. It is dyed green with a food grade dye to make it easier to detect any leaks and pipe or equipment failures. If you are a district heating customer and notice green water coming out of the shower or tap, you should contact our customer service or on-call service number immediately.

Check the district heating supply temperature and that there is no outage of district heating in the area. You can see outages here. Check the functioning of the district heating system according to the Finnish Energy guide "Use district heating correctly”, page 16.

The radiator should be warmer at the top than at the bottom. If the situation is the other way around for the radiators in your home, there is probably air in the radiators and they should be bled. Please remember that a radiator can be cold even in winter if your home is warm enough. In this case, the radiator thermostat has shut off the water flow from the radiator.

Check the district heating supply temperature and that there is no outage in district heating in the area.

The hot water temperature is controlled by a control valve on the district heating side. The hot water temperature is 55–58°C. The hot water temperature must not be reduced by a timer for the night.
